چکیده

The partition function of a system of galaxies in gravitational interaction can be cast in an Ising Model form, and this reformulated via a Hubbard– Stratonovich transformation into a three dimensional stochastic and classical scalar field theory, whose critical exponents are calculable and known. This allows one to compute the galaxy to galaxy correlation function, whose non– integer exponent is predicted to be between 1.530 and 1.862, to be compared with the phenomenological value of 1.6 to 1.8. transitions: 64.60A.

High order perturbation study of the frustrated quantum Ising chain

In this paper, using high order perturbative series expansion method, the critical exponents of the order parameter and susceptibility in transition from ferromagnetic to disordered phases for 1D quantum Ising model in transverse field, with ferromagnetic nearest neighbor and anti-ferromagnetic next to nearest neighbor interactions, are calculated. It is found that for small value of the frustr...

بسط دمای بالای پذیرفتاری مدل آیزینگ شبکه کاگومه با برهم‌کنش نزدیکترین همسایه‌ها

The Ising model is one of the simplest models describing the interacting particles. In this work, we calculate the high temperature series expansions of zero field susceptibility of ising model with ferromagnetic, antiferromagnetic and one antiferromagnetic interactions on two dimensional kagome lattice. Using the Pade´ approximation, we calculate the susceptibility of critical exponent of fer...

A Study of Two-Temperature Non-Equilibrium Ising Models: Critical Behavior and Universality

We study a class of 2D non-equilibrium Ising models based on competing dynamics induced by contact with heat-baths at two different temperatures. We make a comparative study of the nonequilibrium versions of Metropolis, heat bath/Glauber and Swendsen-Wang dynamics and focus on their critical behavior in order to understand their universality classes. We present strong evidence that some of thes...

Introduction to Schramm-Loewner evolution and its application to critical systems

In this short review we look at recent advances in Schramm-Loewner Evolution (SLE) theory and its application to critical phenomena. The application of SLE goes beyond critical systems to other time dependent, scale invariant phenomena such as turbulence, sand-piles and watersheds. Through the use of SLE, the evolution of conformally invariant paths on the complex plane can be followed; hence a...

Universality aspects of the 2d random-bond Ising and 3d Blume-Capel models

We report on large-scale Wang-Landau Monte Carlo simulations of the critical behavior of two spin models in two(2d) and three-dimensions (3d), namely the 2d random-bond Ising model and the pure 3d Blume-Capel model at zero crystal-field coupling. The numerical data we obtain and the relevant finite-size scaling analysis provide clear answers regarding the universality aspects of both models. In...
